Where can I get this grommet

Post

Does anyone have the part number for the grommet for the hole in bulkhead pictured?
The main engine loom comes through there but has no grommet on it

Or has anyone used anything else?

You can pretty much find the part number there.

If you meed to plug it off, they sell stainless Steel or chrome sink caps…

I saw people kept mentioning a parts catalogue, do you know how to find it?

same used on mk2 golf and pre-96 mk3 golf, so plenty to be foudn in scrappies. note late mk3 use 1 big grommet which is too big, you want early type which has 2x smaller ones

otherwise VW still stock them:
357971905E - MK1/2 version - 8.23+VAT
1H0971840 - MK3 version - 8.23+VAT

the mk1/2 version is designed to push over the top of the plastic tubing so go for that oen if your loom is original. the mk3 version is designed to be snug over the wires then have loom tape applied over the top, so if you're stripping the loom down and re-covering it thats the better one to go for :)
