What setup to do with 9" servo

Post

Hi guys,

I've read through the forum and slightly confused.

I'm looking to put in the 9 inch servo with the master cylinder.

What calippers and brake pads do everyone recommend? Anyone selling a set? Is worth changing the brake lines too? Anything in particular? What would be the cost roughly I should budget for?

What setup to do with 9" servo

Hi mate got your message about the fuel lines il sort it .
In regard to the servo I've just upgraded mine to a mk2 gti 9 inch servo. I put a new meyle 22mm master cylinder. I kept the original brake pipes in the bay. I had previously upgraded the brake lines to stainless steel goodridge hoses .which helped .ive put crossed drilled and ventilated discs on the front. All new drums pads calipers etc all round so it stops pretty well. The pads were just standard ones but are good. Hope this helps

The bigger servo won't increase braking power just improves the feel of it, you will also need a bigger master cylinder

I kept the standard rear drums and front calipers and disc size but did replace with all new padgid items.

Braided hoses are always a good idea on any vehicle.
In my case the original line sheared so had to replace the full set of lines the full length of the vehicle anyway

They don't ballon under pressure as much, and I noticed a hell of an improvement when I switched them out.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Thanks for the response guys.

I also should have mentioned I have the master cylinder too.

But curious to know what should I do with the calippers , brake pads and lines? What sizes and what brand do people recommend?? If anyone has any links would be greatly appreciated to products
