What's this?

Whats this?

Hi all, has anyone got an idea what this might be?
I have been tidying up my engine bay - plumbing removed, radiator off, front bumper, grill, lights removed etc etc.
It was found lying on the floor underneath the engine and Im hoping someone can identify it as it's split and would like to replace it especially if it is important.

Cheers. 20170418_175423.jpg 20170418_175353.jpg 20170418_175337.jpg

Bushing for a Hose, possibly the Radiator pins fit in two rubbers at the bottom don't know….
Looks like it holds a hard hose to a flat panel so did you remove any round brackets?

Where specifically would indicate which side of the car it came off of.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Hi mate. It was lying on the drivers side of the car just under the crank pulley.
Not sure if it had rolled into that position.
Have still got the rubbers for the bottom of the radiator pegs so its definitely not one of those.

Cheers.

Not like the part numbers I know. All I can make out is GMO NBR 5.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply but they're all in tact so the mystery deepens.

…Probably… part of a 54 BC Roman chariot…O_o(VW copied the design 2071 years later and claimed it as their own).^_^

Think rubjonny nailed it…

Looks very like one of these, with the same shoulder part way up.

NBR possibly stands for nitrile butadiene rubber.

Could be just an old split one that was dropped into the engine bay when it was replaced?

I don't think it is a anti roll bar bush as there is no lip on the old bush and the hole looks to small.

I would not worry about it and if you do see something missing at a late date you know what it could be.

If you picture the bush next to a tape measure it gives us a better idea of size as you may have big or small hands.

Thinking logically about it. The hole in the center is only about 10mm diameter so my hands definitely not that big. Lol..
