Just noticed this pipe has silver foil around it and has a tear on the side. What is the name of this part and is it an issue I need to fix urgently ? Thanks

The air filter housing draws warm air from the exhaust manifold to stop the carb icing up (freezing water vapor to a solid and stalling the engine) If the pipe is missing or full of holes when the damp colder weather arrives you will have problems. I think its the same size as used on old Beetles so quite cheap and easy to get hold of.

Thats the wrong part, its from the camcover to inlet manifold, I think. Don't waste your money on that.
You need something like this (check it is correct I only googled to find a similar item to what you need)

When you replace it and then refit the air filter take care. Locate the replaced pipe on the metal pipe first and then lower the air filter carefully otherwise you end up messing up the end. You might have to twist it slightly to fit it. Refit the front pipe on the scuttle clip. I always make sure I push down gently on the air filter top whilst tightening up the front rubber mount, it's also a good time to replace this if it's broken. Make sure its on the top of the carb and also no cables or leads are fouled.
