1982 mk1 golf cabriolet gli
Hi, im looking for some help because im trying to find out what cluster went into my 1982 mk1 golf cabriolet gls. All I know is that it is a single connector.

82? Depends on if the Previous owner did a dash swap or not.
The original dash's were different in the Cabriolet prior to 83.5 or 84, I know that in 85 they stayed the same between the 84.5-93.
The early ones as in 79 and up a couple of years had round gauges that fit in separate housings.
The latter ones looked like this.

volkswarren have you got a generic part number for the later dash shown there? Or any suggestions on how best to get one?
Have a 85 (probably 84.5) cabriolet gti which the previous owner did a dash swap with an instrument cluster meant for a different model.
