Mk1 1.8 ks2 carb head leaking water near tensioner pulley

 Water leak is coming from either just under cam pulley behind the tensioner pulley dripping onto the mounting .its a mk1 golf 1.8 carb ks2

the pumps front weep hole is right behind the pulley and  IIRC it points up when I had a bad pump seal it dribbled on the pulley inside and got slung around a bit.  I couldn't see it until I use my UV light.  So you might want to pull the pulley off of the water pump before saying it is a bad head gasket.
