My car is overfishing like crazy it uses up a lot of petrol .. when I tire to start is just keeps ones swinging and after a while it starts only when it stands for a while it's 16I life mk1 golf 2004 model .please need help

My car got this problem a few week back ,it just started over fueling I've changed from a 7 to a 6 spark plug it still does it. Every month I have to change oil. The car uses to start fine but now it takes a long time ,I turn the ignition and it swings for some time and then it starts but only when it stood still for a while it never did it… I've got some weird knocking noise from my steering and when the car is jacked up and I turn the wheel it makes the knocking noise ,when I start turning the one wheel the knock comes an then the other wheel turns and my steering was 100% but now when I yank the wheel left or right the steering is out . Can anyone tell me what to to please IMG_20161113_185407.jpg

This indicates to me that you have a flooding issue, so is this Golf
automatic or manual
1.6 Carburetored
1.6 Diesel
1.6 Fuel injected

6 or 7 plug, what is the brand and partnumber of the plug ie: NGK BP6ES

Really need more information on which type of engine you have and the fueling method carbed or injected.

Have you checked your timing, as timing is everything.
Have you looked for carbon tracking on the HV leads and cap? (with it dark, have some one try to start the car and watch for sparking fairies dancing about the hv lines from the coil to the cap to the wires and about the head.

Knocking on turns can be but not limited to.

Bad CV Joints.
worn lower ball joints
worn tie-rod ends
bad struts
Loose steering rack mounts

If you can pull out on the steering wheel your lower steering shaft bearing can be loose.

AT the bottom of the steering shaft there is a bearing. If that has slipped out of the way, then push it back up the shaft in to the housing.  Secure it in place with a Hose clamp, and or large tie wrap.
