Rear and front suspension assembly

Hi there, I'm assembling, or trying to, the front and rear shocker/ struts. Unfortunately been a couple of years since e stripped them down and I can't fathom in which order the various washers, spacers, bump stops etc go! I've looked at the diagrams on line but still not sure. Could someone advise me please.
The car us a mk1 golf gti, '83.
