mk1 caddy with agg engine conversion wiring/lambda sensor issues

Post

Hi guys, new to the forum after being unable to find the answer anywhere else, i currently own a mk1 caddy which was imported from south africa by the previous owner with a 2.0l 8v mk3 gti engine swap. Slowly working my way through the list of jobs that need doing but there's one issue that is taking priority but seems to be keeping me running in cirlces... a few wires are missing/cut/going nowhere and i believe the loom has been adapted to merge the original and mk3 looms, anyway... the caddy is running very rich (very strong petrol smell and spitting black specs) now please correct me if im wrong but i think this is due to the lack of lambda sensor telling the ecu how much fuel to send through the injectors, does anyone know what wire colours go from the ecu to lambda sensor and what pins on the ecu plug? sorry if ive rambled a little but all advice is welcome, thanks in advance
