Engine in a Christmas Cabriolet

Post

I'm very very confused!

I have recently brought a Golf Mk1 Christmas Cabriolet, however with a lack of v5 (and it also being 6 weeks until they can deliver it) and limited knowledge on the Christmas Cabriolet model, I am unsure as to what the engine size of this model is. Would anyone be able to tell what size it could be. I have been on the DVLA website and it says its a 1.6 but then again it also says the car is blue which on one or two body panels it is and on the rest of the car it isn't and the engine bay is white. ^_^

I thought they came with a 1.8 dx engine. Should be white with blue hood and seats with cc on the fabric. Think they had leather steering wheel too. Easy way to tell between 1.6 and 1.8 gti is the water flange position on head, 1.6 has between cyl 1and 2, 1.8 is between 3 and 4. Check for paint code on sticker in the boot, l90e is alpine white also should have an option code 705. Which panels are blue?
