Cabby hood cleaning

Hi all,

Was wondering what products/methods people use to clean their cabby hoods?
I have a black mohair hood, it's in good nick but could do with some 'spots' cleaned up.

Any help appreciated.

I use Renovo on the wife's mohair hood - really pleased with the results:

i use the autoglym roof car kit, around 20 quid, has shampoo and protector, comes with a hard sponge for scrubbing too, worked a treat on mine

Ragg Topp and 303 Areospace fabric kits are recommended too.
Just make sure you use a soft bristled brush when cleaning the roof, something like a Mushroom brush they use in restaurants. hard bristles just pull at the fabric.  

Sorry to hi-Jack this thread, has anyone had their hoods 're-dyed' or is this a myth ?? Mine is very clean but is somewhat faded !!

renovo do a dye but you have to be really careful applying it to get an even finish.  I did an MGF once and started brushing on across the middle of the hood and worked my way to the outside, then started on the other side again from the middle and ended up with a darker stripe right down the centre.

I think, if you start at one side and work evenly over to the other you should be okay.
