Rear beam Compensator bracket

My rear beam doesn't appear to have the bracket the compensator spring attaches to like this (Credit to rubjonny )



I assume the GTI rear beams have this but poverty spec mk1's didn't. When I look up the part number there only appears to be one 171500051C

Does anyone have a clearer picture of the bracket so I can replicate it with dimensions?

I can't believe I've noticed this now .

If I weld the axle I'll have to drop it as it's next to the fuel tank which has a bit of fuel left. Is there an alternative solution without spending over £200 for a reburbished one.

Do you mean this bracket? THis is a real ( genuine mk1 gti) one i purchased to derust /paint, but i never got around to painting it. If it is, its spare so i can sell it.  Make offer if interested..
