MFA confusion

Hello team,
I own a 1984 Type 19 MK2 GTI and I realised that this is the best place to ask those questions.
The MFA wiring seems to be identical to that of MK1 on my model, and its bringing me confusion.
I replaced my entire dash wiring loom as the old one has been eaten by mice, and i need your help to properly rewire the MFA system. As I haven't found any guide for the MK1 MFA wiring, can some of give me a  bit of help?

From the stalk, I have got the striped red/white and striped brown/white. They become a single black wire. Where is this connected?
What else is there to look for?

I thought that the MFA wiring was covered in the Bentley at the Back of all the wiring diagrams.

I know I them in my Cabriolet book for the Scirocco @ 85…

From the book they are separate from the switch to the mfa, as one is for reset and one for memory, yes on the back side of the switch they are both tied to ground.

Thanks for your help. I found the connection wires in my old loom (thankfully were intact). They were red/white and brown/white (normal pattern, not like the one on the pics i sent).
