Wiring to oil filter harness

I have been replacing many old brittle wires on an 85 cabriolet I picked up. I am a newbie and I'm trying to identify what this part is, what it does and how it is supposed to be wired. I realize the single wire behind the harness is the oil temp. I'm hoping someone can tell me what the wires on the oil filter harness are for… Any help?? 

Looks like it is a oil temp/oil pressure sender, that is aftermarket.

Should of gone on the side of the head, but some folks use that port where the oil temp sender is.
