To sleeve or not to sleeve?

Post

Friend of mine gave me a 1.6td block. Cylinder four is hurt. I have a new head. Is it worth sleeving that cylinder?

A re-bore is better, as if they re-sleeve, they are going to bore it bigger, and insert the sleeve.

So may be cheaper to rebore, re-piston and ring… Toss in a few Bearings, and seals for the Crank, and the Intermediate shaft and youhave a brandy new block.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
