Tear in leather

Hi All

Any idea what the best cure for this would be ?  It is a tear on the drivers side seat

I'm no upholsterer but I am a seamstress, leather can be patched but it looks utterly awful and rubbish and it won't last, the reason is because leather obvs isn't a woven fiber. The best way to restore it is to replace that panel piece x sorry x means the seat will have to come out x

It's not leather but Vinyl, and decent trimmers should be able to match it and replace the whole section for you.
