Somerset 20v running issues

Hi I'm pulling my hair out with my Mk1. 
I've had it converted to a 20v t. It's running on emerald  management I say running it's running like poo.
 Ive exhausted all of my limited mechanical knowledge I'm new to Somerset having moved to Taunton from the Wirral a few months ago and I don't know anyone this end of the country who could help. Can anyone point me in the right direction of someone who can help me. Thanks Rodger

Welcome to Somerset, there is a few of us in and around Somerset.

Not used them for years since Tim Styles retired but TSR is in Bridgwater which is just a junction up the M5 from Taunton and they specialize in VW and do engine conversion so they might be able to help.

TSR have got better recently so i hear. when they first restarted i didn't have a very good experience.

dont know that they will do many conversions but should have experience with 20v

ive used tipton garage of recent years its further afield in tipton st john but did a great job on my engine. 4wd RR for ecu set ups seem some great classic cars down there.

I'm just outside Taunton near Kingston st Mary. I have all ready got the car booked in with Tipton garage. But I'll have to cancel it. I've done a compression test and found I've lost all compression on cylinder 3 and only have about 10% on cylinder 4 so it's a safe bet to say it's very poorly. I've not removed the head yet if I get chance I will. I'm toying with just transporting the whole car up north to the guy I know and trust not to rip me off and have him put it right. He's very clued up on his vag stuff. Sorry for the late reply thanks for your help. This is all very good timeing with me in the middle of but a new house and all 😬

It's always hard to find someone good and trust and when you move you start all over again. not far from myself then I'm in Norton Fitzwarren although I'm no help with 20v's. Convoy for a meet when she's running!!
