Soft Top Service - Yorkshire

Can anyone recommend a cabby soft top supplier/fitter in Yorkshire (ideally West)?

hi if you contact carl(chortle) he can fit roof. If you can drive down to my neck of woods carl can do mine same time, making use of my drive and garage.

If you are having a vinyl roof fitted, just the other skin then it's really straight forward and can be done at home with some basic tools so any good car trimmers/hood place should be able to do a good job for you. Mohair is a little harder as you have to trim and stretch it to fit. Mk1 golf roofs are simple compared to other cars. Factor in some new tension cables as well as fitting.
Check to condition of your rear screen frame as its metal and can rust, if you run your hand along the bottom of the frame and feel for any rust, if there is any get it treated if just surface rust or you may need to find a replacement but they are not cheap.

looking to get mine done this year mohair with new seals and a new back window frame and new head liner you are looking around 1k just for all the bits not looked into someone to do it yet.i am in south yorkshire
