Smoke and bell noise?!

Help please! Went to start the Golf up today to make sure the battery didn't die. 

Looks like exhaust manifold has a lot of smoke coming out and there is a loud bell like noise?! Hopefully the attached video should show this.

There has always been a bit of smoke but assumed it was residue burning off as the engine bay isn't the cleanest!

The bell noise started a few weeks ago but was originally quiet and seemed to go once warm. Much louder on this start up 😖

Any suggestions what either of these could be and how major it is would be appreciated.

probably exhaust manifold come loose or has hole..?
Heat shield vibrating?
rocker oil leak too?

Had another look over with a friend who daily drives an '86 Mk2 GTI and he said I was overreacting 😂

Smoke definitely looks like it's coming from the exhaust manifold so not too worried atm. 

Natalie noise sounds like it's coming from ancillaries at the front (water pump, alternator etc) so also not too worried. 

Was just panicked at first with smoke and metallic noises coming from the engine!
