i think you may find that Newton don't actually do the foam for the base of a Cabrio seat… looks like a Tintop.
They vary - tintops you can get the separate parts, outers & central base yet for the cabrio they are a complete base - 1 part, i may be corrected but i think all cabrio seats (later models 83/84 onwards) are pretty much the same except for the Recaro's in a Sportline.
VW part #191 881 375 D
as for Material, not sure if there's any British sites, try Classic VW - Mark Carter, if not Werk34.de will do it & there's a Dutch site too which i'm not sure of the name sorry…

The bolsters take a beating. puncture through the foam and eventually wear the material out from the inside..because of the wear of the iron bar on the bolster to the seat of your pants.
They can be repaired, as I have done that in the past as the newer ones are pricey, the foam costing as much as the cover…
I am pretty sure that the replacement 3 piece could be glued to the center, and it would be held in place by either hog rings, opps pc here, Swine Jewlery…. or wire ties. I have had good luck in using "Gorillia Glue" to reattach the side bolsters to the seat bottom where torn, but using that you have to remember that a little goes a long way, and Clamping it together is better (I used Tape) to hold both bolsters to the seat bottom.
In the Archive Section below in the How-tos look for Briano's 90 Cabriolet links….
I have also taken the Bolsters off my 90 and used Passat seat covers and foam on the Cabriolet frame, the Velour was more fun to sit in cold, kept the sweltering sun to a minimum, and the wider seat bottom supported my wider seat bottom more comfortably on longer drives of over 800 Miles.

Be prepared to pay, my seat cost around £450 all in but it's like new and really comfy.
Hope this helps.

a passenger seat will usually have everything you need for a repair, baring the backrest which will have a hole in it for the tilt handle on the wrong side if you need the backrest material
