Rear strut brace? & Noisy fuel pump

Post

Hi Guys,

Anyone fitted a rear strut brace in the boot to their mk1 cabby? I've got a 20vt and wondering if I should provide the extra support. If so how do they fit and any pictures?

Thinking something like this:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F181954554317

Also since the conversion (Aum 20vt) I have used the original Kjet fuel pump but it's really noisey constantly. Is it on the way out and needs replacing with anther original or is there a better pump I could use? Thinking mk2 16v or something..?

Thanks in advance

:D

You don't need a rear strut brace on a cabby, because it has a steel bar welded between them, you can see it if you lower your back seat. It is part of the structural upgrades that a Cabby needed to remove the roof.

Whine in the fuel pump, I would be suspecting that you need to replace the in-tank pump see if the whine goes away.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
