Post

Hi all help required -

Just got the car (1989 1.8 Carb) out of storage had a service & clean MOT, however on the way home have a oil pressure flashing light & buzzer. The car is running great & temp OK, when I checked the oil level it looks like it has been over filled is this the possible cause if not any suggestions ?

Cheers in advance for your help

That is the Low oil pressure at RPM warning.
It is the large White Sender on the Oil Filter flange.
Make sure it is plugged in and that it didn't get knocked off at the MOT.

I would replace the sender, then test it again Light and Buzzer then I would get a set of Mechanical gauges and test it.

Possibilities:
Bad oil pump that is in by-pass mode.
Bad Oil filter if generic.
Bad Sender.
What weight is the oil that is in there?

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?
