New Roof Lining

Headliner is year depending and  it’s the fitst thing fitted to the frame.

So the hood and interliner and pad would need to be removed/replaced.

X3

BUT……………

The last one I did on my car, I seriously gave thought to using Snaps to make it removable in the Future so I could clean it…… but then I thought about it, and I would need quite a few snaps, and I already had everything else being the cheap bastitch that I am I dropped it as a idea gone wrong.

Interesting thought but not sure how you’d hold it up around the centre rails.
Plus it’s hung on those straps in the corner.
You’d need a ton of snaps for sure..

Snaps on the flaps to snap it to the cross-bars.  I mean they have screws in it at places which I suspect that is why I started to "pop" rivet it to the cross bars as I had seen too many where the glue failed….  I figured at the rear  snaps on the back side, and for the bridging strap between the rear window… I mean I gave it serious thought……

3 per bar…. works really great as an augment to the glue.

I can see the merit in the thought process.

Really common for the headliner to come off those rails.

I use a High Temp glue.
However I’ve seen folks use normal contact adhesive which just isn’t up to the job.
Nice idea on the rivets though.
