Managed to get a cheap set of MK1 TT leather seats for my cabby as I've seen they can be fitted to our cars and wanted them as they have the rear 3 point seatbelt in the back bases so I can fit car seats. I know CrazyQuiff has a kit but at £250+del and then having to reupholster my seats the costs soon mount up.
My question before I go for it is does anyone have a guide or link to fitting them preferably with pics? I want to save some time and make sure if my way will be the best way before I tackle it.
I've searched high and low but a lot of forum threads seem to trail off without showing the finished article, especially of the rear seats fitted.
Any help and guidance is appreciated.
Thanks

There is a reason for that….
Yes they may fit physically and be possibly secured but the rears never look fitted properly and it'll be nigh on impossible to retain the tilt function on the rears
May be best off having the current rears reupholstered to match the front
Always remember-: just because it fits in the hole, doesn't mean you have to put it in!

Thought I'd add to this, found a guy on eBay who has custom made seat bases that allow the MK1 TT fronts to fit without any welding etc

Still got the rears to work out but wanted to update you all.
I've not tried fitting yet as getting my seats fixed up, I'll update once done though.
