The car is currently Sorn and is MOT'ed until August the 12th next year. 👌

I just stumbled across this thread by accident while trying to find out some history about this car.  It belongs to my wife who has owned it for about 8/9 years!

Hi mark1gls. The car is Sorn at the moment. We normally do this over the winter and tax the car for the summer months. I started doing some work on it last year, nothing major, just general maintenance, brakes etc. This took me way longer than it should have due to family commitments and my mk2 golf project so the MOT has lapsed. We're looking to get the car MOT'd again once the lockdown is lifted.
I'm repairing a couple of oil leaks at the moment and it made me curious about when the G40 conversion was done and who by etc.

Hi there,

I've got a couple of pictures of this car from back in 2005 when a friend met the guy who built it. He was buying something from my mate I think, I cant remember his name but he was from around Stoke area. I ended up buying the interior from the donor car for the G40 engine from him. I don't think the conversion had been done long so it was probably done around 2004/5. Let me know if you want the other pictures.

Good to know the car is still around, I remember him messaging me when he sold it and unfortunately I didn't have the money to buy it at the time. PDR_2029.JPG

Cheers.
