Mk1 Caddy Blower/Heater Replacement advice

Post

My VW Mk1 Caddy heater/blower bearings are shot and needs replacing.

I would like to purchase a brand new blower rather than a used replacement from 1990. The problem is, the newer model blowers have different connection ports.

My current blower (321819021A) - image here: https://ibb.co/hXxKsPP. This fan connects via one male spade and one female spade.

The newer models appear to have a different setup, with two male spade in a cased block housing? https://ibb.co/m8fcC7Q

The ebay listing says that these newer models are compatible with my mk1 caddy, but how would I be able to make the connection work – are they really compatible?

You use insulated crimp on connectors and insert them in to the newer connector, or Cut the connector off and use insulated male/female crimp connectors and replace both sides.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
