Mk1 cabrio - 2.0 16v ABF conversion - engine judder (~3000rpm)

Hi, my conversion is finally done but I'm having some issues with it juddering at around 3000rpm. You can quite literally see the rev needle jumping around, it also seems to have a slight judder when deaccelerating.

Okay, so I've tried changing the ECU relay and even by-passed it all together to see if that helps. No real difference noticed, although oddly i forgot to plug the wire that i have bypassing it in once and the car still started and ran as if the ecu was powered (what have i done wrong there i wonder O_o)

Ive also tried bypassing the fuel pump relay, again with no real difference noticed!

Any other areas i should be looking at before i give up and push it on someone who actually knows what their doing!?

Oh and its also had a new crank sensor, as prior to this the engine would sporadically cut out!

scan the ecu, check both for cvodes and thru the ecu measuring blocks.

remove the tape from the tps/idle switch harness behind the inlet, it bakes hard here.

where have you put the ecu vacuum line, and is it exactly 1 meter long.
