Mk1 cabbie hesitation... help please

Post

Hi guys. I've got an issue with my 87 gti cabriolet.

It starts and idles fine and will drive fine until it warms up then it quite literally bunny hops down the road it's like your turning the key off and on!
I can't figure it out I have changed the dizzy cap rotation arm plugs and leads to find no difference. Could it be down to the coil?
I have also had my swirl pot break on me so have made something up for it which seems to work ok but I'm wondering if this could be the issue however I was under the impression the swirl pot is to prevent fuel starvation round corners and this issue is constant

And ideas would be hugely appreciated
Thanks sam.

Well did the car do that before you found an issue with the swirl pot?

I'm no expert on that but it will help to analyze the problem for those who do an it gives the post a bump into the bargain! 😉 👍🏼
