No advance/not starting !
The trouble is that the ecu is not controlling the spark properly ? I cannot move the timing via the ecu, only physically buy turning the dizzy.
Even when I set it by hand to say 6° btdc the car wont run ? Sounds like a lawnmower !!
Also the rev counter is not working ??
Definitely something not right !!
I think I have wired the hall up ok,
Power to the +
Ground to the -
Signal to the center pin.
Rev counter signal wire to the negative on the coil ?
Must be a set up/settings issue but im stumped…
Any input would be great as im lost !!
Thanks in advance !!

It used to be an absolute minefield of settings and fiddles to get the things to run properly. Maybe they are better these days.?
Your probably better off asking on an MS forum than on here but when you say it runs like a lawn mower - have you checked the simple things like firing order correct on your leads etc? A big issue that was banged on about when I did mine was making sure all your earths went to one place on the engine block. Any earth offsets could reek havoc with signalling.

Is it possible that the hall needs wiring up the other way or something simple like it ?
And yes yomp, all the earths go to one place.
Although thinking about it now, I do have the coil earth strap going to the same place as the ecu earth ?
Am I correct in having the rev wire on the negative side of the coil ?

Do you guys know which is definitely the hall signal ?
Should it be the window or the vane in the dizzy ?
I have read that the window is "output grounded" and the vane is "output inactive".
If this is right then my trigger angle should be 100° btdc ?
If this is the case then I was way off haha.
