Led dash bulbs

I had to remove the instrument cluster and as the dash bulbs were dim, or may not have worked at all - thought I would purchase some led bulbs.

Car is a 1987 GTi Cab.

I have tried switching the polarity several times with no joy. Lights on heater come on, cigarette lighter plus main car lights and number plate lights.

The temp
led is also not flashing - not sure if this has anything to do with them dash light issue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Now fixed.

Looks like I was replacing bulbs in same position…  🙃 I put it down to being tired and sausage fingers and so scared of damaging the fragile pcb
