Petrol is seeping from between the flush two metal surfaces of my fuel metering unit.
Any advice how to stop this would be greatly appreciated. Can I assume a gasket is leaking?

If it is leaking between the upper and lower halves of the metering head then a strip down will be required. You can buy refurb kits - I got mine off ebay from this seller - https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/missing.parts?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
Came with very detailed instructions. I'll be honest, I've not been able to test my rebuilt unit yet (it's a project car!) and I know some people have problems with rebuilding them. If you don't want to tackle it yourself there are a couple of companies that offer a rebuild service but it's not cheap.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Cost of a professional rebuild turns out to be £437. Think I might try a bit of wellseal in the meantime.
