Last few wiring plugs!

Post

Down to a handful of plugs requiring homes.

I've looked through the fuse box thread but I'm still struggling. I think the long grey and black might be something to do with brake warning but don't know where to plug it!

Cheers John,
So where does it plug in to please mate, I already have a brown and brown/yellow at the handbrake lever (plugged the br/yl in to the spade on the lever and earthed the brown but nothing happened so left them unplugged!)

I've just posted in Heeeelp about a issue with it charging the battery and battery light if you've got a couple of mins to have a read/think it would be gratefully received as usual :)

only thing he recons it needs a new bulb, but see how you go. its only a 12v 'grain of wheat' type, pop down local factors.  it was the cheapest one i could find with the bulb holder still attached the others were all missing that bit

Guessing I need to do something with the wires at the handbrake lever end?

Is it brown down to earth and the brown/yellow to the spade connector on the lever mech?

all it is the mk2 switch is 2 pin, so needs an earth. yours earths to the shell, so doesnt. you ignore the mk2 earth, just pop the other wire to your switch job jobbed. its the brown/yellow you want, ignore the brown

Dear Rub,

I bow to your Greatness……. :)  to know which connector is which with but a glance… I would need to know more specifics….again with all humility….

Briano

I may add a small note that on my Cabbies, it is very easy to get the connector for the Brake light and the seat belt warning on bass-ackwards as it is the only non-Irish Proof connector, and I have done it a time or two.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Cheers Brian :) when you've messed with as many looms as I have it becomes second nature

no seatbelt warning for us thankfully, but on that note on the mk2 golf its easy to mix up the heater panel and handbrake lights up as they have the same plug on and near each other :P
