Hi all, just wanted to know the signs of intank fuel pump being weak. What would happen to engine how it would run and is there a way of checking it that it works as it should. Thanks in advance.

If the in-tank pump fails the usual warning signs are the rh rear wheel arch has a whine from the main pump having to work harder. More noticeable on less than a half a tank.
Seen where the pump will run for about 20 minutes over heat, and stop…then cool off and resume for another 20 minutes.
A bad CIS fuel Pump Relay can give the same warning conditions.
On cornering you may feel hesitation, and a lack of power. The interconnect hose for the pump can hole, and or fall off.

Intank fuel pump
Would misfire be 1 of them also

Misfire would be all the time if the pumps on the way out…or even rust in the tank . if you think its the intank pump thats failing, its not too expensive, to replace both is the more expensive option.

Intank fuel pump
Just checked the fuel line from metering head to injectors and 3 are blocked 1 is ok so now am in need of fuel lines.

oh dear….. what size injectors are they 10mm or 12mm i have a set of new hoses, that i ordered wrong size.. for the sportline..the injector in 2 cars was different.
pm me if you want them ill measure them and confirm which size they are.. think 12mm is it the hose or meter head thats blocked? if hose you could remove the blockage wth air or welding wire, if its the injectors thats blocked then you can soak in fresh fuel… to see if work under pressure.

First try replacing the in-tank pump.
