Indicators

OK so getting the car ready for its mot and in true classic car fashion its decided 1 side repeater doesn't work anymore!

The rest all work fine and strangely when I connect the spotlight feed it lights up but won't flash with the correct indicator feed connected.

I stupidly thought I could just run a new jumper wire from the black indicator wire on that side …. it does now work….. but when I turn the lights on the indicators on that side don't flash at all.

I will remove the jumper wire later today but still a bit lost as to why its not working.

Any help appreciated

And to add to this, the horn has also stopped working around the same time,  all the fuses look OK

Fuses look ok?  You have to remove them and either use a meter or have good eyes.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Thanks I'll check that tomorrow, I checked the power to the horn and it's all good so I had a feeling it would be an earth issue

The indicator thing is a bit more strange though,  they all work apart from the side repeater, I checked it using the spotlight plug and it lights up when I flash so the wires are good with no breaks, the contacts are clean and I checked them for flashing and it all works…puzzled

Try putting warning ⚠️  hazard switch halfway.. its also a dodgy thing that needs replacing.

Hopefully will identify the fault
