Hydrolic Roof Issues!!

Another Mk1

Hi all, Its been a while..lol
Ive just bought another Mk1 K Plate Conv, with Roof Issues.

The pump works no problem if I feed it direct 12v in boot.
Opens and closes, But from switch in bottom console upfront I gets nothing.
Ive checked the fuses at fuse box, and nothing, they all not blown.
The Relays in boot look all clean with NO signs of corrosion whatsoever.
Swapped the switch itself over with the L/H elec wind switch, works fine.

Can any of you please point me in the right direction on what to look at next?

Want to get all these little bits sorted before I get the engine transplant done..lol

Are you using the right procedure? Key in ignition but not turned.

Next test I would do is to check for power on the red wire to the switch.

Check the switch on the E-brake.
as the e-brake has to be fully up and engaged on the ones over here.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Are you using a multimeter? What's it dropping to? Are you testing between the the red and a good ground.

Yes Steve, for some reason when checking voltage was going up.
When hitting the switch was decreasing down below 8.

One relay in boot was clicking when ign goin on.
Its a new relay that previous owner had replaced.
Honestly can all relays just break down?
Is one relay out the 4 making it not work.

Noticed few wiring issues when I pulled headunit out, someone has ran a feed from the immobilser to stereo, red pos wire has been cut, brown red stripe x2 cut.

Join the brown/reds together. If I remember right it is a switched live for your radio and continues on to the fusebox for your roof.
