Hi everyone long time no see

Hi guys been a crazy year for us all.ive had covid .over it now though. Back to business is there anywhere where i can find a mk1 golf starter motor heat shield??? Mines been lost whilst at the powder coaters…and secondly im all ready to rebuild my cylinder head etc .after it went a second time .done it properly this time had the head blasted skimmed etc ..where can i find all the exact torque settings etc? Ive a brown Haynes manual .but its not exactly clear .im using brand new m12 splined cylinder head bolts. Thankyou hope that you are all in good health…

Thankyou for the link kenneth mines a 1.8 carb version automatic. But i assume they are the same mate ?? Any ideas on the starter motor heat shield??

HI Deano777 yes same torques same engines only gearboxes change.  Heatshield i assume you have the bracket attached to starter still? Approximately £85 with new bracket. £60 ish for shield alone .  maybe able to get before xmas but 1st week of new year more likely.

Yes great thanks for confirming the torque settings. Yes i have the original bracket ..where would i buy one though i did a google search and couldn't find one ???
