Heater not working...

Around a month ago, my mk1 cab heater stopped working one day when i started the engine.
In this weather it is not ideal…
I need help to work out why/common faults that could cause it.
The dial that changes the speed of the fans is stuck to 3 and cannot be moved to turn down if that is any further help to diagnosis?
Really grateful for any help.

Are you getting heat in the car or is it just the blower/fan not working?
