I think I've lost it....
Afternoon,
anyone know where I can get hold of the metal bar that the handbrake cables run through at the handbrake end. 83 tin top.
Googled the part number with no sucess - Heritage and Classic VW don't have them either.

Well they have one similar for a Ghia air-cooled, but you can take a bit of steel, hammer it about a socket then flaten the ends and drill a couple of hole, and presto you have your bracket. or just a flat piece of steel about 1/4 of an inch thick and about 3 inches long, drill a couple of holes that will fit your cables and presto your dron no hammering or smashing.....

Carl, you can use any m6 nuts. Lock them together once adjusted.

put the lock nut on wrong way round dome onto the
bracket better fit

The roundy end goes in to the bracket so that you add a tad of grease to the roundy part and it spins sooooo much easily, then the Locking nut locks against a flat side and locks more better.
