Gears

Hi all need advice last year changed gearbox and fitted gearshift repair kit on my mk1 golf cabriolet now this week clutch gone so had new one fitted but still find it a struggle to find 1st gear any clues or advice of what this cud be and how to repair or anyone in Birmingham area that could help me out I'm stuck.. cheers all

Might just need a little adjustment on the linkage.
Did you change the gearbox oil, if not how old is it?

New oil wen gearbox was changed. Ain't been great to find 1st thought gearshift repair kit did solve but didn't how easy is it to adjust bear in mind I'm useless at mechanics lol
