Fuel filter question Cabrio 1993

Which one fits ...

Need to replace the fuel filter on my '93 Clipper. The one in there has the part number 431133511 on it, and the entry bolt is a 19mm spanner and the exit bolt is a 17 mm one.
If I use the part number, it comes back with various sizes entry / exit, but it is either M14 entry and M12 exit or vice versa. However, 19mm spanner is M12 so that does not reflect anything to what I have in the car.

Am I reading the spec wrong of the filter as the nut sizes on the actual filter are way bigger (something like M20 at the entry side)?

My undertanding was that there are two versions, the smaller original and larger MK2 version that was also used on later Cabrios, poss with different fitting sizes.

I'm sure one of the filters I got had a reducer/adaptor so would fit various banjo bolt sizes?

I even called the dealer but parts dept just said they could not get them. No idea how they serviced my car then and probably explains the age of jt.

Ordered a Meyle now to try as at £13 it is worth a go. Some websites say they fit, others state it doesn't.

I bought the wrong one (smaller size) of the two for my 1991 cabrio, and the banjo bolts still fitted. Just had to cable tie it in place.

The smaller GTi type filter was fitted to tin tops and early cabriolet up to around 1984, then the larger filter was used.

This is the later fuel filter for the DX engine.

Last of the cabriolets with the digifant fuel injection have a different fuel filter..

No wonder we are confused…
