Fuel accumulator question

Different angled tops for fuel nipples

Hi all, I'm after some answers if I could pick your brains! I think I've an issue with my fuel accumulator so I managed to find a second hand one. I took mine off and everything is exactly the same except the tops which the fuel lines attach to. On mine the fuel line nipple bolts are on a slight angle so you can do them up and on the one I purchesed second hand image.jpeg  are straight so you can't do them up! I'm just wondering is it the correct one and if so where can I get the correct fittings for the top? Many thanks. Paul

They should be straight, those have just been bent.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I tryed screwing the nipples onto the straight threads and there isn't enough gap between them to screw then both down as they hit each other, any idea if these are the correct fittings or shall I try to bend the straight ones?

mine are too rusty to measure but I think (not definite) the big one should take a 17mm spanner. Bending may be your best option.

The Accumulator on the left has the remnants of the old fuel lines still attached!

Do it once and do it right! ok, we've identified the problem, lets not make it worse by guessing……… Identifying the sympton is not the same as understanding the cause :)
