Front engine mount
The rubber mount can easily move about half inch forward into the socket which seems a bit excessive to me.
I am replacing the rubber ball mount as it is split but was wondering if that amount of play between the joints is normal.
Thanks.

I have found that getting 4 large Fender Washers to go between the mounting cup and the frame 2 per side tightens this space considerably….
There is some one that makes a spacer but I have found that Fender Washers work well and are cheaper.
Just take one of the Bolts with you so you get the right diameter.
Now after to adjust your engine the way I was told and it seems to work, is to loosen all 4 mounts slightly, then shake the heck out of the engine via the lift eyes and let it settle…. Then do it again and let it settle.. Now tighten everything back up.

The bolts have two fairly thick washers each so I'll be putting at least one of them behind the cup to take a bit of the slack out.
Thanks again.

Great stuff mate. I was thinking of spacing the cup that way.

No you need the washers in the front, but you can get ones from the hardware store for spacing the rear out.
