DX engine rebuild advice

Hi all, 

I am looking for some advice of where I can take my DX engine to be rebuilt and reconditioned as I'm going to referb the whole engine and ancillaries. 

Any suggestions on places to go and contacts and a ball park figure would be of huge help.

hi there just getting my 1.8 gti engine rebuilt at the min, and its costing me 700.00 pounds for full rebuild all bearings replaced bottom end new pistons and rings all seals new value guides and head gasket .

I live in Toddington which is in Bedfordshire so any local help would be great. 

I'm looking to get it out and started on soon as I want to find a body shop for the panels and respray too. 

Where are you having yours done nigelmc99? 

For body work/respray Ant at Rust Republic does some great quality work, I think he knows someone or possible does engine rebuilds as well?
Might be worth dropping them an e-mail.

hi adam  i live in northern ireland an its in with a company called lilburn engineering  in derry, he just builds all types of engines, he took the engine and stripped it , all bearings needed replaced crank reground head skimmed headvalue guides replaced and seals all built up again for 700.00 pounds, nigel
