Duck bill splitter

Hi all,
Just wondering what fixings do people recommend for the duckbill front splitter? Also where can I get them from.

Standard clips and fittings don't last long get knocked off easily, mine used to last only a few months and was constantly pay reattaching.

I then used some stainless steel bolts with a washer about the size of a 10p piece against the spolier and then one the other side of the hole in the valance, coated with waxoyl and its still in place 25yrs later.
