I want to disassemble the lower part of the dashboard.

How are the pins removed from these staples?

Is it necessary to dismantle the central lower part of the gearshift?

The ash tray is held in place by 4 fingers, and it can pry out.  There is no need to remove the Knee-bar.

Mine is a tad different style.

The knee-bar is held in place by more than those two push pins.  There are some on the top that you can't see.

To take the knee bar out.  You have to remove the center console screws there are 3 of them one in the middle at the rear and 2 one on each side of the top holding it to the heater box.

Remove the shifter knob.
Lift the console to the rear and up to swing it free, then lay it on the drivers side of the floor.

On the left and right side of the knee-bar there are 2 nuts, and 2 bolts holding it to the "A"pillar.

Remove the 2 bolts each side, and loosen the 2 nuts.  The Kneebar

back side of the dash

can be lowered a wee bit to remove the 4 screws that hold the dash panel to the knee-bar.

Now you can remove the knee-bar.

Your Ash tray is in the Dash, and that is removed by dismantling the entire upper dash.

That is remove the heater control switches, the fascia the instrument cluster, the heater vents on the sides, then the Front vent.  I have a how to safely remove the vents so no damage occurs.

Then remove the 4 screws that hold the dash in place on the right and left outer dash 10mm in plastic cups.

Pull the dash out from the windscreen clips. then up and off the car being careful around the wheel.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Briano1234  thank you very much for your help and explanations

I wanted to remove it to disassemble the alarm because it didn't work and it was old, but in the end it was not necessary to disassemble so much.

Disassembling the alarm, I only have one cable disconnected (number  1). You know that you can be?

I want to change the light bulb but I have only released it from one side. How do you get it out?

The ashtray was not good because it had twisted the metal frame and left its place. Now it will be fine.

and this bulb comes out just pulling it
