Dented floor pan rail

Post

Hi, like a lot of cars, someone in the past jacked my car up on the box floor pan rail (under the seats roughly). Any special way to straighten it? I was thinking of pulling up the carpet and knocking it back out into Shape from the inside

No, at that.  If it didn't dent the seat rails, then you are not going to get it to knock back out.

A spot stud welder and a slide hammer.  Or like many of us you live with it.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Yeah it took the weight of the car to bend them in over several years (bloody garages). Mine are bent in as well and crushed, plan to replace them, maybe make my own from a bit thicker metal…

You can replace them if it really bothers you?

I cut out holes in mine and pressed them back out using an "L" type lever bar I could slot in thru the holes then welded up the holes with the cutouts.
