I currently have motometer clocks and I can source some vdo ones but will these be a straight plug in or are the plugs on loom different.
Many thanks.

They should be interchangeable if they look identical. Have you got pics of the two clocks? If we see those we can let you know.
The only difference you may have is that the Motometer normally have a nozzle for the vacuum lead which VDO sometimes don't have which is for the mfa

Tach, speedo?
Broken traces, Bad 10V stabilizers, flaky cold solder joints on the inside of the fuel and water gauge, bad grounds, and flaky 12v supply are quite common.
In the Archive section I have a few how-to's that tell you how to repair, replace, plump and back feed to various parts of the cluster….
The Motometer and the VDO gauge set have a white
Ones from the US are different, The VDO was pre-90 and there were 2 styles ones with upshift lights and ones without,,,
The MotoMeter had air bag lamps and was used from 1990-1993. None of the ones on the US had the MFA
If you take the shroud off the connector port, Carefully lift the mylar…. the pads are labeled in german as to what they do. If your Moto set reads like the VDO no worries.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
