I searched, but couldn't find anything… where do people put their solenoids? I was thinking here, but I'm sure someone has though of something better:

Is this a new set up? Not using orginal equipment?

If so then I have done this. Try to get them as close to the top of the door as possible. I think I ended up attaching mine to the inside of the inside of the door (if that makes sense) in as direct a line as possible from the lock bit that they actuate.

There is a bit of fiddling and bending required to get the lines correct. Quite a bit of adjusting is also required. Make sure you have the passenger door open in case you get locked out!

So inside of the inner door skin? Like where mine is but higher?

Yep, a bit higher. That poor little solenoid has a lot of work to do and the more it has to push the more likely the thin metal rod will bend out of alignment during use. Make sure it misses the window on the way up and down……

Just don't ask how I know about making sure the other door is open…………  O_oIan
