Carburettor problem (base plate)

Post

Hi guys after finding an issue with my carb I found the base plate had broken away, the carb was just sitting loose on top.

I have spent hours trying to search how to replace the base plate but none seem to be the same as mine.

Appreciate any help to get my baby back on the road. Thanks!

you asked this before and it was decided its a weber and a weber baseplate sandwiched between the carb and the rubber mount?

Sorry if I wasn’t clear with my question. I’m trying to take the carb apart so I can replace the new plate but because the old plate is screwed to the carb, I need to take the carb apart to access the base plate.

I’m not sure how else to explain it. It’s not easy for me to be honest I’m pretty new to all this.

from the pics looks likes theres 4 bolts, one in each corner of the oblong plate between the carb and rubber?

As already stated…..

Just undo the nut as arrow Ed, plus the other three in the other corners.
