Cabrio flywheel/clutch fitting

Post

Hellooo.

Currently in the process of putting my cabriolet back together after a few modifications. The engine is at present sat in my bedroom 🤣 I am fitting a new clutch and lightened flywheel to the engine while it's indoors.. problem I've got is I first took it apart about 7 months ago and made extensive notes and pictures but failed to note whether there was a gasket between the engine and first plate of the clutch?.. only reason I think there might be is because there seems to be a ridge machined into the engine that looks like it would fit a gasket perfectly? Has anyone done there clutch recently?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi. There is a Gasket shown between the Gearbox Bellhousing and the Engine. It's the Flywheel that bolts to the Crankshaft not the Clutch.

Depending on the engine/tranny there may be a spacer between the flywheel and the crank….that varies in thickness.  ie: on my Autos there is a different spacer size depending on if you have a solid flex plate and or a spoked flex-plate, as in different starters for each different type.

Which style of engine as in 2h, dx, and what tranny type.
A good place to find out is the ETKA.

There should be a rear main oil seal bolted to the block behind the flywheel
